Brian S. Myers, M.D., F.A.C.S.
After graduating from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Myers completed
his surgical residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then a
minimally invasive surgical fellowship (advanced laparoscopy) at the Oregon Health
Sciences University in Portland. His expertise in laparoscopic advancements
places Surgery South at the forefront of technological breakthroughs in
general surgery. Dr. Myers is certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a
Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the South Eastern Surgical
Congress and a member of the Society of American
Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. His areas of special interest include
advanced laparoscopic surgery to treat problems of the stomach and esophagus
(especially acid reflux disease), adrenal glands, spleen, and colon. He also performs
laparoscopic hernia repair and gall bladder procedures in addition to thorascopic
evaluation and treatment of lung disease and masses.
